About Alchemi

Alchemi Analytics is a small team operating out of Cape Town, South Africa. We have a passion for data and for seeing processes run efficiently. It’s what makes us tick and it’s what led us to build Alchemi.

Manufacturers across Africa are running capable plants without a clear, real-time view of what is happening on the floor. The data exists, but it is scattered across different systems and often arrives too late to act on.

OEE lives in one system. Mass balance sits in spreadsheets. Energy and labour costs are only understood weeks later. Those just show you the what. The biggest issue? There is no way to take action without the why.

Alchemi was built to close that gap. We give the people running the factories a single, live view of performance, bringing the data they need into one place so they can spot issues earlier, understand what is driving the losses, and take action while it still matters.

Alchemi is built by operators rather than software vendors. We are part of Astratek Manufacturing Engineers, who bring over 20 years of management experience running world-class FMCG facilities for brands including Woolworths, McDonald’s, Libstar and Tiger Brands.

That experience runs from designing a factory to building it, then measuring and improving it. It is what operator-built means in practice: the platform was shaped by people who have carried responsibility for a plant’s numbers.
